This position is based in the National Maritime Museum in Dun Laoghaire.

Duties will include meeting and greeting visitors to the Museum, telephone answering, taking visitor bookings, admission and gift shop sales, and cashing up at the end of your shift.

There will be regular weekend work and occasional evenings.

Ireland’s National Maritime Museum is housed in Dun Laoghaire’s 180-year-old Mariners Church, directly opposite the new DLR Lexicon library and easily accessible by DART suburban train and several bus services. The Cleaner / Caretaker will play an important role in the upkeep of this historic building.

Duties will include cleaning of the building, regular checking of the toilets, canteen and outdoor areas, light maintenance and cleaning of exhibit cases. You will also help to set up for events such as product launches, civil ceremonies, lectures and art exhibitions.

There will be a requirement to work occasional weekends and evenings.

This is a Sales and Marketing role for the National Maritime Museum. Duties will include making contact with local schools and groups to arrange visits to the Museum.

Increasing our Wedding Venue business and dealing with enquires re-bookings for visits, weddings, and also venue hire. There will be administration and office work in this role to tie in with sales and marketing and promotional work.
This is a very interesting position where no two days are the same based in a historic former Mariners Church which is now home to the National Maritime Museum.

The office administrator role will involve the regular use of the Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, email, photocopying and scanning documents. General day to day office duties including filing, phone answering and general office administration.
