Spring into Heritage 2025

Free Guided Tours
The Spring into Heritage programme of events is a series of free guided tours run by the Heritage Office of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
They are suitable for schools, students, families, historic groups and individuals interested in local history. The National Maritime Museum is delighted to participate in this again in Spring 2025. Our tours will begin on Monday 24th March and finish on 30th April.
The Museum is housed in Dún Laoghaire’s 180-year-old Mariner’s Church, opposite the DLR Lexicon. Experienced guides can bring you on a voyage of discovery, enthralling you with stories of discovery, heroism, war, and disasters at sea. See nature and art inspired by the sea. Hear about innovative Irish inventions, scientists and local mariners. Try Sailor’s Knots or take a Pirate-selfie!
There are two tours each Monday and Wednesday only. They should take roughly one hour. The first tour starts at 11:00 am and the last at 12:15 pm.
You must apply for a ticket below
There will be restricted access to the Museum on 1st May from 11.00pm to 2:00 pm as we are hosting a private event. Also, there will be restricted access to the Museum on 3rd May from 11.00pm to 3:00 pm.
