TOM CONNOLLY  – the remarkable member of the DúnLaoghaire Club who had survived the sinking of the RMS LEINSTER before founding Ireland’s first supermarket in Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire – will be remembered on 31st December with the unveiling of his portrait in the DúnLaoghaire Club, Eblana Lodge, 3 Eblana Avenue.

Tom Connolly’s model of the RMS Leinster which was displayed in his supermarket over many years is now in the National Maritime Museum of Ireland at Dun Laoghaire.
Live music (NOT LOUD) and very good food will be the order of the night.
Tickets for the night costs just €10 each and can be purchased from the Club bar or Costello Jewellers,
 1 Northumberland Avenue, Dun Laoghaire.  
Proceeds will be used in providing wheel chair access.
