The undersigned will give a lecture on the Life of Admiral William Brown, by request of the Asociación Argentina Irlandesa “Almirante Brown” (“Admiral Brown” Argentine Irish Association), an Association made up by Irish Argentines, who have taken Adm. Brown as their”patron” for the Association.The said association usually conducts cultural events intended to promote and keep Irish traditions among the local Irish community.Those events have ranged to lectures, traditional dances up to Irish whiskey tasting sessions. The lecture will be held at the Vieja Posada Colonial (Old Colonial Inn), a restaurant in downtown Buenos Aires. next July, 9th., at 2000 local time.The Irish Ambassador in Buenos Aires, Mr. James McIntyre, has already confirmed his assistance. It is expected that distinguished members of the BA Irish community, Brownian Institute and some Argentine Navy Officers will be attending as well. A full brief with pictures will be sent after the event. Efforts will be made to promote MII as well.
